Word 2003: Hyperlinks in "Multiple Word docs -> Single PDF"

Hi all,

Re: Word 2003: Hyperlinks in "Multiple Word docs -> Single PDF"

What is the best way these days (Word 2003) to manage writing a very
large Word document as multiple Word documents, where I create a
single PDF.

A critical issue is how to make:

(i) hyperlinks between the Word documents, and
(ii) the hyperlinks are preserved when the single PDF is generated

Note: The Word documents point to specific points *inside* the other
documents. I am not talking about just pointing to file path or web
path of the other documents in network space.

I remember master documents have been discussed. I also note that
there are a number of tools out there that claim to help in the
general area of hyperlinking between Word/PDF documents.

Thanks,

avraham

hmm, when you're refering to an older discussion, either posting in that
thread or specifying a message ID would help most ... :)

I'd raise the question why the document has to be created separately in
the first place. Unless you need concurrent editing, not much is in
favor of splitting up these days. And even if you do need that, folks
probably cannot create references to other parts while work is done on
them, so you could easily bring the parts together and then do all the
cross referencing (and pagination, etc.).
