Word 2003 closes when selecting bulleted\numbered paragraphs- Vist

User has a machine with Vista SP1 and Office 2003 Pro SP3.

When composing an document and he selects a numbered or bulleted paragraph,
manually or the system automatically sets numbering as such, an error message
comes up about a problem and Word is closing.

He uses Word as his email editor in Outlook also and the same happens when
composing emials

Anyone seen this before? Is there a fix?

Exit Word. In the Registry Editor, locate and delete the List Gallery
Presets key.

To start the Registry Editor, in the Run dialog box type regedit and press
Enter.

On my computer it comes up as
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\11.0\Word\List Gallery Presets.
The version number (11.0, 12.0, etc.) will vary with your installed version,
but 11.0 would be correct for Word 2003.

And note that in Word 2007 that registry key doesn't exist; instead, what
you can try is deleting the ListGal.dat file in your user profile.
