Word 2003 characters overtype

characters in MS Word 2003 are just overtyping in one place. Doesn't happen
in any other program, just word. Any ideas?
 
This can happen, apparently, when Word temporarily loses track of the
printer driver. Try opening the Print dialog and changing printers. Change
back and then Close.
