Overtype Mode

Using Micrsoft Office Word 2003 and my "Overtype Mode" seems to have
disappeared. It is gray in the "Tools" "Options" "Edit" "Overtype Mode" menu.
Was using it yesterday & gone last evening, I am handicapped & also use
sticky keys but have never had a problem before.

I assume you've tried to toggle your Insert key on and off?
