Is there a way to set up Autotext so that the word or phrase come into your
current document in the same font size and style being used in that document,
rather than the font style and size it was created with?

When selecting text to create the autotext, do not include the paragraph
mark at the end of the paragraph.

Sorry, but that didn't work.

Then you haven't done it correctly! Type the entry (any manual formatting
over the underlying style will be retained). Display formatting (CTRL+* )
and select the text you have entered less the paragraph mark at the end of
the line.
Press ALT+F3 - give it a name.
