Word 2003 and 2007 on same computer

I'm running Windows Vista and would like to have both Word 2003 and Word 2007
available. I know this can be done in XP, but how do I do this in vista?
First attempt at re-installing 2003 when 2007 was present resulted in 2007
version being overwritten. Any tips/tricks/resources appreciated.

First, uninstall Word 2007. (You won't lose customizations, because
the uninstaller doesn't remove files that Word writes after the
installation is done.) Then install Word 2003, and finally reinstall
Word 2007. In general, always install from oldest to newest.

Once both versions are installed, see

adjustment that will prevent the two versions from conflicting over
their settings.

A small PS
If you are installing Word as part of Office, do not install two versions of
Outlook.

Do a custom install. Otherwise the 2007 installer will remove all older
versions.

You shouldn't be able to install 2 versions of Outlook. If 2007 is a trial
version keep Outlook 2003. If it is a retail version, install Outlook 2007.
