word 2002 stops responding on format

Word stops responding. I recently upgraded to Word 2002 from Word 97 on
this computer.

Using styles, I go to change the font in Body Text. In the Styles and
Formatting panel I select Body Text, modify,format, Font. Select the font.
When I hit okay, word is frozen and the only way I get out is to close.
This is on a Windows XP machine. I don't have this trouble on my Windows 98
machine. Is there a known problem? or do I got other problems?

Sounds like a printer driver problem. Windows XP uses a different
printer driver for a given printer than older versions of Windows. Are
you sure you have installed the Windows XP printer driver for your
printer? Maybe check the printer manufacturer's website for an updated
driver while you're at it.
