Word 2002 Autotext trouble...?

I am trying to create different autotext categories. To do so I have
created different styles and applied them to the paragraphs/sentences
that pertain to the autotext entries. I then redefine the entries. The
categories work, and everything seems to be fine. BUT, after 15
entries word stops responding... anyone know why? Am I doing something
wrong?

Try renaming the normal.dot template, with Word closed. Then restart Word,
which will cause a fresh normal.dot template to be created, and see if you
can recreate the entries without Word crashing.
