Word 2000: no screen color for fill or line. prints ok

I'm using word and the screen will not show lines or the colour inside
objects that I create.

It will print in color. Excel gives me colour.

I've reloaded the program, and asked it to fix any problems. Anyone have an
idea of what I may have done?

There is a note that says "cannot find wtKernal components", but I'm not
sure that has anything to do with the present prolem.

HELP. Design is not the same without colour.

Make sure you don't have High Contrast selected in Control Panel |
Accessibility Options.
