Word 2000 Installation Problem

Guest

I had to restore my hard drive after the computer started acting strangely -
I did this thru Dantz B/U software I have. Everything seemed to work ok but
Word 2000 - errors and lock ups when using. So I Uninstalled Word and would
like to reinstall it. I own two copies of the program - one in Works suite
2000 and one in Works suite 2001. When I try to install I receive the
message that there is not enough disk space on my drive even though I have
95Gigs free.
I have also noticed that other programs I have tried to install never work
with autorun - I always have to find the setup files to intiate install.
Any Ideas?

The days of replacing software from backups is long gone. You must
reinstall.

Check EVERYTHING your installation is trying to do. Could you be trying to
put it in the wrong location?

As for the autorun thing, check your setting and make sure your computer is
set for that. Plus I've found that some older software just doesn't autorun.
You have to go looking for the setup file.
