Word 2000 autocomplete date

When i'm typing a letter and start typing the month Word offers a suggestions to autocomplete the date. It is not the current date, it's about 4 days behind. My computer date and clock are set correctly, so what do i need to do to get Word to suggest the current date?

Word gets the system date at startup and never refreshes it. You need to
restart Word at least once a day to get the correct date.

I tried this on Word 2002/Windows 2000. It gets the AutoCorrect date
correct even when Word is left on overnight. I guess they fixed it.

Possibly so. I've never personally experienced this because (a) I shut down
every night and (b) I never use DATE fields.
