Won't open attachments!

Hi there

Getting increasing annoyed with bloomin Vista! It's one problem on top of
another!

Does anyone know why each time I try to open an attachment (excluding Word,
it opens them, strangely!) that are either JPEG or PPS (Powerpoint, I do have
Viewer) it tells me to create an "association" - I HAVE created associations
but still the file won't open. I have to save the attachment then open it,
which is a long way around and I don't necessarily want to save the
attachment to my computer. I unchecked the box in the settings (on Mail) that
not to open possible unsafe attachments. So it's really weird.

My second problem (regarding opening JPEGS/JPGs) when using Windows Live
Messenger shared files, it says it's "Not SUpported" and again, I have to
save the file elsewhere and then it opens in Windows Photo Gallery!

I am very very tempted to go back to XP as Vista is just proving a real pain
the ass!

Anyone who can help with the above, much appreciated.l

Totaly understand how you feel, I am having the exact same delema with no
idea how to fix this situation. Now Im trying to send movie slide via email
and it wont send saying not enough memory, which is rubish. This whole vista
programme is a right pain in the rear end. I dont have the time or patience
to deal with this, did you find anyone to help with your questions as I need
answers also? cheers

I presume you've taken the standard precautions that have been discussed
here hundreds of times: uninstalled incompatible security programs,
configured Windows Mail for attachments, etc.
