I recently set my video card to out-put to the s-video port, and then
rebooted, and after that, I can't get passed my bios setup... Windows won't
boot, XP Pro CD won't boot, and neither will safe mode. I get a blinking
icon at the top left of the screen that goes away after a minute. It never
boots, when I puch the power button after this, it shuts off immediatly, I
don't have to hold it like normal. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

Start in safe mode and change it back.

He can't get past the BIOS setup so how can he start in safe mode?

All I can suggest is to borrow a video card, install it, start windows,
remove it from control panel - system, shut down the computer, reinstall the
original video card and hopefully XP will find it again, with its default
output.

easy.........Remove the display card, turn the computer on,,,, turn it back
off reinsert the display card. Then boot to safe mode.

Yeah.. I can't boot live CDs while my hard drive is plugged into my mobo...
sata by the way... so, I now know it's not the video card...

If this is a reply/add on to a previous post it would be helpfull if it was
in the same location or at the very least the original post was included in
whatever you are trying to tell us.
If you are using Outlook Express that means highlighting the original and
clicking "reply Group"
This post would then have been added
You wanna try again????
