WMV movies display greenish hue when played

I have a couple WMV files that I have included in my powerpoint
presentation. When I view these files with Windows Media Player, they
work flawlessly. When I add them to my presentation and play them, the
audio works and the video flows smoothly, but all the colors look
green! It's as if there is a color filter on the videos. Ideas?
 
It sounds like the MCI player (used by PowerPoint) is using the wrong codec.
(I suspect you have installed other video software that altered system
settings. I would re-install Windows Media Player, even though its not used
in PPT it will correct the codec associations.
