Wmv for PPT

Want to convert AVI file to WMV for Powerpoint. I want the video
quality to be very nice.

All options in Windows Media Encoder is confusing. what is VBR/CBR
thing and profile? Can you give me easy details about choices I make.
I need to run video in Powerpoint slides. Thank you.

VBR = Variable bit rate ( bit rate is how much data to use....a variable bit rate will use more data when necessary)
CBR = Constant bit rate (a constant bit rate will use the same amount of data per frame for the video)

Generally you will get better results with VBR.
