Embedding video into powerpoint 2000

Hi,

I've been trying to embedded a WMV encoded file into powerpoint and am
having problems.

Input file is in Mpeg2 Format.

I have tried the standard settings for conversion using the startup wizard.
The video plays relatively smoothly but the audio does not.

I tried to convert using CBR for the audio but this does not help.

I tried to convert using Media Encode V8 for the video and CBR for the
audio. The resultant clip does not play smoothly at all!

I've tried all the various setting combinations of VBR and CBR and encoders
versions. Anybody out there who can help me?
