WMS Idle not responding & Outlook 2003 hangs on startup

Thanks again Brian

This morning I decide to call Microsoft Support. The problem with Outlook
2003 was resolved in a Live Meeting, wherein the Tech Renamed Outlook data
files and Deleted the remaining Office Professional Add-ins from the Registry
that I had been unable to remove thru the programs or Add/ Remove. Norton
Internet Security 2005 appeared to be the main contributor. He also Removed
the Microsoft Add-ins.

Interestingly, this solved the "WMS Idle not responding" error message. I
don't know if I would have been able to solve it othewise. Hope this is of
use to someone else.

So, it was an add-in, just like we said at the very beginning, and it was
likely the Symantec product, as originally proposed.

Yes. Unfortunately, when I contacted Symantec the Tech got hung up on the WMS
Idle not responding issuse and replied that it could not possibly be caused
by NIS 2005 and that I should contact Microsoft.

I had just purchased Norton AntiVirus 2006, before this happened, since my
NIS 2005 Expires shortly. Now I'll have to decide whether or not to install
it.

If you do install it do so without the email integration. It's useless and
causes lots of problems.
