WMP Entry Point Not Found..???

Hi,

After I click on WMP under Programs.....It loads and then a window appears
with the following message and the system hangs. I have to Ctr-Alt-Dlt and
end the unresponding WMP to get my system back to normal.

This is the message.... "wmplayer.exe-Entry Point Not Found....The procedure
entry point GetIUMS coiuld not be located in the dynamic link library
MSDART.DLL."

Please help asap....my OS is XP Pro (SP1). I am not using the latest WMP,
its the original one that came with the XP Disk.

hi daphne,
I am not sure actually xp/or any previous desktop os never provides the
wmp along with the cd in it.then how r u saying it came along with cd.

sorry i thought it is winamp....wmp actually comes with xp alone,u
search for that dll if you able to laocte it then copy and paste it to
the corresponding folder.if not found download it from any website and
paste it.
