WMP 11 And IE7 Issue With playing Mpg links

ok so i have installed nero ultra 7 enhanced edition and quicktime. so
whenever i click a link to open a streaming mpg a box pops up and says the
program that is default to play it (WMP11) says it is corrupt or doesnt
support the file type. what can i do?
