WMM HDV 1080 Help

Just started using WMM, I do not see how to save a 1080 file like
"Robotica" in high res.

The input file was about 19MB and the output was about 5MB. This tells me
that resolution is being lost.

Do Ineed a codec or ?

Any suggestions appreciated.

you would need a custom profile to do it with Movie Maker in XP. See my
website's Saving Movies > Custom WMV Profiles page

Guess I don't know what issues you would have... I'm using a Media Center
Edition of XP, which I thought was XP Pro+

Just trying to work my way through this...

I am running XP Pro SP 2, I guess XP Pro+ = XP x64?

I went to your page Movie Maker - Saving Movies - Custom WMV Profiles...

I read about & downloaded Windows Media Encoder, When I tried to install,
it informed me I needed XP x64 so I took a look at...

http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/64bit/facts/benefit.mspx

Reading the "Important considerations" it seems that there are quite a few
issues that could turn my XP into a paperweight.

Are there any alternatives?

Thanks for the help and your website... very informative.

you can download my custom profiles that align with HD sizes.... instead of
setting up the encoder and doing it yourself...

the links are on my WMV-HD > Introduction page
