WMI issue on windows 2000 (only) after upgrade to 2.0 RTM

Guest

I have an application where i am receiving the following error:

The type initializer for 'System.Management.ManagementBaseObject' threw an
exception

The same application is running fine on 3 other windows 2003 servers but not
on a windows 2000 server.

Also it was working fine until i moved it to .NET 2.0 TRM (from .NET 2.0
beta 2). Not sure how that is related.

Hi

I guess maybe the beta version is not uninstalled very clearly.
Have you tried to install the Whidbey RTM on a fresh version directly?
Please performance the test and let me know the result.

BTW: have you upgrated the windows 2000 to latest service pack 4?

Here is a link for your reference.
