WMA file stopped playing after first run

PowerPoint 2007 on WinXP

Co worker has slide that includes 1 animated clipart item, one standard
clipart item, One special effects text item, and a linked WMA sound item. All
items were originally set to run on mouse click, and they slide played as
expected on the first slideshow.

The sound file has not played since that first run. HAve verified effects
settings and timings. We have tried changing teh trigger from mouse click to
with previous AND after previous -- no luck either way. Even Deleted the
sound item from teh slide and added it back-- still no luck. Have verified
that the file itself plays via media player.

Any thoughts on what we have overlooked?

But if it's a really long path, that could be why it doesn't play.
