Can somebody help me, please.
Shortly I installed XP home edition om my computer. This PC has a Athlon
1000+ processor and a MSI motherboard (K7T Turbo).
My problem is the folowing:
When I shut down the computer the tower will not turn off automatically. I
have to push the button before it definitely turn off.

Before installing XP, I had Windows Me. With Me the tower was turned off
automatically when I logged off.

Where can I install the possibility to turn off the power automatically when
I log off the PC?
I searched everywhere but cannot find it.

Rob

The reference from the article to the APM tab was right.
I activated the APM (Advanced Power Management) and the problem was solved.
However, I have bought recently a new computer (AMD 3000+ 64 bits PC) and
this computer doesn't have this APM tab. Why not??
Is the APM managed in the BIOS?

Hi Rob,

Glad you were able to get the problem solved :-)

As to the question of the other computer not having the APM tab, see frodo's
response.
