Disable the AV scanning of incoming/outgoing mail. It is superfluous.

Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. Due to
the (insert latest virus name here) virus, all mail sent to my personal
account will be deleted without reading.

Do you have, as Milly suggests, any anti-virus or anti-spam software that
scans your outgoing mail? If so, does disabling the outgoing scan fix the
problem?
