Wireless vs VPN

Hi

Need to know if i have a pc connected at work via VPN onto ADSL and
then i connect Wireless on that same pc, what happens? I noticed that
wireless when connected automatically disconnects my VPN. Does
wireless take preference over VPN? Please can someone shine some light
on this as its driving me crazy.

It would be nice to have more details on your wireless set up.

How is the wireless set up set? Wireless PC to wireless router (aks
Access point) or wireless PC to wireless adapter on PC (Ad-hoc
connection?)

Is the VPN PC also the Internet access system (sharing the Internet
access between PC?)

setup - pc to wireless router.
then my network settings on lan as IP setting of ADSL.
then i connect via vpn to get onto network.
