Wireless Network (Viewing shared recorded TV)

I have set up a wireless home network...I have my media
center tv folders shared and when I try and watched the
shared files on my the video is choppy...can you sugest
how I can view the shared files without the choopy
video/audio
 
If you save the file to the other pc and then watch it is it still choppy?
If not it is probably the network speed unable to cope with the data stream.
