Wireless network timeout

I've just built a new Shuttle SG75 and installed XP Home,
and I've connected it to my wired network via a Linksys
802.11b PCI card. The drivers installed ok, and the
connection does work BUT it always 'times out' after just
two or three minutes.

I've looked at all the available settings, but haven't
found any way to stop the connection timing out.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, as I'm getting
very frustrated!!

Cheers,

Olly

I think you are seeing your wireless network card search for a channel which corrisponds with the router. Give it a bit more time and watch for the card to find the ad-hoc network. You can set your Wireless Network card properties by clicking on start/control panel/network properties then right clicking on the correct network card. You can specify a channel 1-11 in USA and 1-13 in Europe as well as the check bar which allows your network to connect to ad-hoc networks, and non-prefered network
