Wireless network connection

T

Tom Tripicchio

I have an XP home computer that has a printer attached to it and a wireless
router. 3 of my laptops connect with no problem through the wireless and the
computers are able to see each other. I now have bought a Dell inspiron 600m
with wireless. I have no problem connecting and getting onto the internet,
but I cannot see the computer with the printer, nor can I see the other
laptops when they are on the system. The main computer can see the new Dell,
but the new Dell cannot see the main computer. Under network tasks I see
"setup for wireless network.." but I have never seen this before. Any help
appreciated.

Thanks, Tom

Tom,

have you tried to use it?

Windows XP on your older computers is apparently not up to date.
Do you use Automatic Updates?

You may have to activate the exception for File and Printer
Sharing in the firewall of the new Dell laptop.

If that does not solve the problem, please use
