Hi. I just built a new PC and installed Win XP SP2. The computers in our
house are all on a wireless network - Linksys 4 port router and WUSB11 V2.6
adapters. On the new computer, I have to do a repair nearly everytime I boot
up to connect to the network. This doen't happen on the PCs with 98SE or XP
SP1, but I don't know if SP2 is the culprit for certain. I have tried to
install a new driver for the adapter, but have been unable to do so. If I
uninstall the old one in device manager, then reboot, then reconnect the
adapter, it keeps finding the old driver and installing it. I have the new
driver in a file on my harddrive, but if I try to just do an "update" from
Device Manager, when I select the folder with the new driver, I get a message
that a better driver can't be found. Also, I've uninstalled the adapter 3
times, so now the connection is called "3", even though in device manager
there is only one displayed.
Any suggestions for me!?
Thanks a lot,
Gary.
