I can connect to the internet via dsl and dial up. When I'm connected to a
wireless network and open internet explorer, it always says "page not found."
How do I correct this?

Hi,

A little more detail , please. When you say you connect to "a" wireless
network, is this one you have set up, or someone else's? Maybe you
could tell us exactly what you're trying, if you can get an IP address,
if you require a WEP or WPA key, etc. Also, go to Start => Run and type
in "cmd" {without the quotes}. In the window that opens type in
"ipconfig" {without the quotes}. Report back what you get.

Thanks

It's any free access network. Panera Bread, for example, offers free
wireless. When I'm there, my wireless utility says I'm connected but when I
launch my internet browser I always get the message "page not found."

Here's what I got when I followed your instructions:

Windows IP Configuration
Ethernet adapter Local Area Connection:
Connection -- specific DNS Suffix:
IP Address: 192-168-0.1
Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
Default Gateway:

Ethernet adapter Wireless Network Connection:
Media State: Media disconnected

PPP adapter DSL connection:
Connection -- specific DNS suffix:
IP Address: 69.209.108.224
Subnet mask: 255.255.255.255
Default Gateway: 69.209.108.224

disable your internet security or firewall! Try, if it works then you have
to add that specific location to your allowed networks!
