Wireless Drops every 60, 30, 15 or 10 minutes

I have a strange problem that no one seems to be able to solve.

On my laptop the wireless will drop out every 60 minutes for about 2-3
seconds. Then it comes back and everything works fine.

The PC has been very thoroughly checked for viruses and spyware and come up
empty. The wireless modem was replaced and that didn't solve the problem. I
also tried purchasing a new wireless card but that didn't solve the problem.

I do have the latest drivers. The card is an Linksys Wireless-G Notebook
Adapter model WPC54G v2, driver version 6.0.0.18

Any thoughts?

Thx

using a router ? check your lease duration

check the properties for the wireless adapter, see if it's doing any power
management. set it to "constanly awake" or "full power" mode and the drop
outs should cease. Also, see if you have any history of "old" wireless
access points in the "view wireless networks | change the order of
prefered networks" list; delete any old useless guys, and make sure your
most-preferred one is at the top (or better, the only one listed).

I'm not using a router, I'm using an access point (WebSTAR DPR2320), but I'd
like to know how to change the lease duration and which value is the correct
one.

Talking about the wireless adapter I have two options: Maximum Power Save or
Continuous Access Mode. Which one should I use??

Thx

CAM will use more power, but stay connected best.
