Wireless Desktop - switch default function of F1...F12

Hi!

On my MS-Wireless-Multimedia Keyboard I cannot use the F1 ... F12-Keys
unless I press that button that switches to that functionality.

How can I have the normal F1...F12-functionality as a default?

(I need the F1 etc. functions a lot more often then the other functions).
