Function key F1 through F12 does not work. Please help

Hi:
I get stright to the problem. The problem i'm having is non of the
Function keys (F1 - F12) works. for example F5 should refresh the page
and F2 should rename a file, but non of them works. Can someone help me
fix the problem? I'm using Windows XP Pro SP2.

I tried 3 different keyboard they all do the same thing so I was
thinking maybe something wrong in the registry or some kind of windows
key binding got messed up.

worst case is reload Windows XP pro

How is it hooked up to your computer (PS/2? USB?)

You might have a keyboard that requires you to press a "Function Lock"
key before F1-F12 become active. Read the keyboard manual!
