Wireless Connection Question

I have recently seen WinXp Sp1 and Sp2 systems using USB wireless Cards
(Linksys) and under the connection properties I do not see the typical
Wireless Tab. Prior to this I have always seen the Windows Wireless Tab for
letting Windows manage the wireless connection. Both of these systems do
not have the Warless Zero Configuration Service disabled. Both of these
systems were having Wireless Connections issues.

Is the Linksys wireless utility running? If so, it's probably
handling the connection instead of the WZC service.

Check in services.msc to see if WZC is actually running.

Yes WZC is running.
Typically with a Wireless NIC that does use it's own utility for signal
strength or for setting up profiles I still see the Wireless tab in the
network properties.
