wireless connection issue

My PC has windows XP and built in wireless adapter. I am
able to connect to wireless router. But the connection
was reset almost every 2 mins. So I have to reconnect
again. It shows signal strength is good. I don't know
what is the root cause of the issue. Any advise? Thanks, -
Sophia

disable 802.1x authentication.
start menu, run, ncpa.cpl, [ok]

then

1.. Right-click the wireless connection, and then click Properties.
2.. Click the Wireless Networks tab.
3.. Select the network name in the Preferred networks window, and
then
click Properties.
4.. Select the Authentication tab.
5.. Make sure that the check box for authentication is not selected.

Just wanted to thank Barb for posting this. This has
fixed my problem. I spent about an hour looking in MS
knowledge base for this fix - with no luck. Came to the
newsgroups and found it within 5 minutes.

Thanks Again!!
