Hello.

I have an acer travelmate 4230 running windows xp service pack 2. i have
an internal wireless card as well as one plugged in the side. Whenver I
unplug the a/c adapter from the back of the computer, my wireless card on the
side loses power. the pc makes the noise like when an external device is
unplugged ad the wireless window in the lower right hand disappears. Now I
want both wireless cards to be ab le to work. I'm wondering how I can adjust
the settings so that the card doesn't lose power when the laptop is
unplugged. the card losing power is an Enterasys Networks- RoamAbout 802.11
ds high rate card. thanks

Sounds to me like the battery needs to be replaced in the laptop.
But then it is only what I perceive as the problem. You could have
a setting that may be activated to only work when connected to an AC
outlet(?).
