I recently purchased a new HP notebook that has built in broadcom 802.11b/g
WLAN the pc came with XP Home edition and all seemed to work fine. However
I just upgraded to xp pro and now it does not seem to be working.

The network icon in the task tray does not feel a connection (from a known
connection in the building). When I click on it to try to configure the
advanced options all is grayed out except the cancel button.

The only funny thing that happened today during upgrade was the the file
"batmeter.dll" could not be copied from the CD. I have installed sp1 on win
xp pro, but still no luck.

I have checked the device manager and the hardware seems to be "working
properly"

Any suggestions on this?

Thanks!

Delali

I dont have any suggestions, but I do share the same problem. I have a
pavilion zv5120 with the wlan card in it. The card worked fine, but now it
doesnt seem to work at all. There is a university wireless network in my
building and i have a wireless router. Both of these networks are
accessable from computers on my floor, but my card doesnt detect the
university one and says that it cannot configure the network my router is
broadcasting, but all of the other laptops on my floor can? i dont know
what the deal is but i believe that there is a problem with the wlan card.
Any help would be appreciated.
