Winzip vs Microsoft

Hi Guy's,

I have a problem with Winzip that I never never had before.

It won't open Microsofts cab files......What gives, I run XP Pro,

and always use Winzip 8.1


* WinZip cannot open C:\Program Files\ Instant CD *
DVD Version 6.5rar\o-vicd65\data1.cab because it is not in the
standard Microsoft CAB format (as defined in mid-1998). The
"signature bytes" required by the Microsoft CAB specification are
missing.

So after all these years of using Winzip,now I need "signature bytes,"

What in the hell are they.......????

Must be some plot by Microsoft to iritate it's consumers Lol.

MS may have changed the CAB format. Check for Winzip updates.

XP has a built in zip utility. You don't need good old winzip anymore.
