winXP update(KB835732) install problem

iv installed & reinstalled winxp security update(KB835732)
god knows how many times but win-update keeps naggin me
sayin that i "still" need 2 install this thing!

win-update install history confirms my "numerous
successful" installs of this very patch but whenever win-
update scans my pc it shows up as needing 2 install!

guess maybe its not taking and when i reboot it loses the
patch..maybe??

anyway...can anyone "hook a brutha up"??
id appreciate it greatly!

Uninstall it (Control Panel/Add & Remove), then download the stand-alone
version here and install it:
