KB835732 not installing

for about 2 weeks now XP autoupdate has been trying to
install security update KB835732, without success. It
says "installation complete" and so on, but the next day
still downloads it for install. Ive tried with windows
update since I figured that its a different installation
process, but no luck there either. I also use Norton
antivirus 2003 and have just run a complete scan -no
viruses.

Any suggestions?

Try here: http://v4.windowsupdate.microsoft.com/en/default.asp. If that
doesn't help download the update manually from MS. If these options don't
help, repost.

The strangely was in regards to free$$$. You have put a lot of work into
the site, and I have yet to encounter a request for 'contributions'. Also,
my apologies for any posts I've made that don't reflect current issues.
I've only recently returned from somewhere overseas with too much sand after
being recalled. The admin work I did thre was on proprietary software and
antique systems. I'm trying to get caught up, but the world spins much
faster than I.
