WinXP troubles after 1 week

Since I'm using WinXP, I have to format my pc every month. Every time a
fresh install. After e week, troubles start. Drivers disapearing, software
disapearing, crashes while gaming, crashes while booting/shutting down ...
you name it. I now, it's Windows, but I expect troubles after 6 month, not a
week!
But what to do about it.

It is conceivable that software has been installed on your PC without your
knowledge. If possible, install and run one or both of these utilities,
which will detect that software, and give you the option to vanquish it...

Also, take the usual precautions to safeguard your system: Turn on the
built-in firewall (or install another), and install Microsoft critical
updates that apply to your installation.
