Hello All;

A puzzling question: WINXP will not load unless my laptop is connected to
the mains. there is nothing wrong with the battery as once WINXP has started
to load i can unplug from the mains and enjoy the full battery life. It has
on occasion not started when the laptop is not connected to the mains but
this is rare.

Obviously i would like my laptop to be able to start when not connected to
the mains so if anyone can help i would be very appreciative.

Thanks;

RJ

Check the settings under "Power Options". There might
be something in there that decides you didn't want it
to run on Battery only. (I don't know for sure; just
a suggestion.)
