Hi NewsGroup,

I have a PIII 550 intel, GBX440 MoBo, 760 MB SDRAM, ATI Radeon 9200 SE
Atlantis (128 MB) card, 13GB System disk with 60GB Data disk, connected into
its own ATA (IDE) card. I've attempted to install SP 2 three times now
without any success. System just crashes on reboot into any mode, so I can't
even get to System Restore, last known good menu doesn't work. I've rebuild
the machine up to SP 1, my main concern is with security as most SP2
articles and literature write about security issues. My issue being, what do
I need to consider in terms of security running SP 1 given that the system
has,

NOD 32 Antivirus
ZoneAlarm Pro version 5
SpywareBlaster 3.3
Spybot Search & Destroy
Ad-Aware SE Personal Edition.
(all Up to date)
Mozilla Firefox 1.1.

I have also disabled the messenger service. What else should I consider
lacking SP 2 to ensure better security? Also before you all say so, yes I
have a more modern computer with XP SP2, I still love my PIII though and I
just can't seem to get back into Win2K....

Thanks for your consideration NewsGroup.

Regards,
Winux P.
