WinXP Search not functional

My WinXP, SP1 shows an error message "A File That Is
Required to Run Search Companion Cannot Be Found". I
referred to MS KB article 319949 and tried to resolve
this problem. However, the problem continues to exist.
Any suggestion on how to resolve this problem?
