Every time I try to install this app,I get all the way in
almost to end, then I get a blue screen that says I have a
framebuf error, and that the system is in loops.Have taken
out every card but video, moved them into different
slots, changed all the settings in bios back and
forth,tried Fat32,NTFS installs,fresh install from Windows
ME.Base install from dos, booting to cd,Have an Abit
board, has kinda like raid controllers on motherboard.Have
went to their sites and downloaded drivers to install when
I press F5 or F6,even tried 2000/nt drivers.Cam't get past
the point I mentioned.PS.Have XP Pro. on my primary
computer which I put together and XP pro took after I
changed from AGP video card to PCI card, installed then
reinstalled AGP card, all ok.Been running this OS fro a
year no screens.I have a PIII 450 MHZ,524 MB ram,2 HD's
Have even disabled IDE 3 and 4 in BIOS,am going nuts
trying different thingsnow am in process of reinstalling
ME from 98,onto a different HD.Again install goes fine,add
Highpoint drivers, rolls on then when re-booting Blue Screen
(Framebuf)error.Bios has been flashed to newest
revision.aLSO TRIED TO FORCE AND USE Standard PC selection
at F6,same stopping point, tried to install from WinME,had
NIC card in,did Dynamic update,went fine,then Boom,Blue
Screen,Frambuf,Any body who has any answers, solutions or
suggestions,please post or e-mail me.Looked in
Abit,Microsoft,Highpoint,etc.Forums,till I'm blue in the
face.Am beginnng to think this OS doesn't want to go on
this Motherboard.

ATI All-in wonder PCI,64MB,a few years old, will try
another this weekend as I'll have to borrow,or pick one up
cheap to try,Used this card in my newer computer to setup
XP pro,as it didn't like my Matrox GeForce MX400 AGP based
card, installed then switched back.Willing to try something
new as Win ME,just don't compare to XP,plus I spent the
money to buy XP Home, may as well use it.Thanks for the
reply and suggestion, will try when I get time this weekend
as I just reformated and reinstalled 98SE,then ME
upgrade, went with ME they still support it with update
