WinXP not detecting my digital camera

I recently built a new computer running Windows XP.
Everything so far has been going fine, but I've
encountered a problem - XP will not recognize my digital
camera. The camera is an Olympus D-510 Zoom, and it
supports USB Auto Connect (it worked fine on my old WinME
system). The camera shows up in the Device Manager under
the USB Controllers as an Unknown Device. Olympus doesn't
offer any drivers to download for WinXP; it says it
should be automatically recognized. How can I get Windows
to recognize it as my camera?
