Reset and reinstall TCP/IP:

Navigate to: C:\windows\inf (this will be hidden dir)
Find the File: nettcpip.inf (reads as nettcpip)
Right click the file and choose install
With regard to the speed of the command, it is instantaneous, that is why it
will almost seem like it did nothing at all

Now, reset the TCP/IP registry values to defaults, type:

"netsh int ip reset c:\tcp_reset.log"

at the command prompt. The file tcp_reset.log will contain the changes made
by the above command.

Ping an internet address say yahoo.com and to check the connectivity and
tcp. If it works and you are unable to browse webpages, reinstall IE
