When upgrading from WinMe installed PC,after all the files
for installation have been copied to hard drive, the
computer restarted automatically.
Then, everything stopped at a blue screen, with "Setup is
restarting Windows" at the bottom of the screen.

Then, I tried to install WinXP from command line, first
format C:\, and under \I386, using "winnt" to install.
After all the files were copied onto hard drive and an
automatical restart, my computer again stopped at "Setup
is restarting Windows"...

Thing is very similar when I tried to install Win 2000 on
the same PC, after files are copied and a restart,
everything stopped with a black screen, with a blinking
cursor at the upleft corner of the screen.

Need your help!!

Make sure you disk hardware is properly setup. If your
system uses UDM66 (ATA-66) or faster you must have an 80-
conductor IDE ribbon cable installed and no a 40-conductor
cable.
Check the Windows 2000/XP Hardware Compatibility List
(Windows Catalog) and mare sure you mainboard, video card
and disk controller is compatible with Windows 2000/XP.
Consult your mainboard manufacturer's website to see if
there are flash upgrades necessary for your BIOS to be
compatible with Windows 2000/XP.
