winxp & iis

greetings,

i have a client who is looking to put a mobile version of his website on his laptop to take to client meetings. Hi webstie was designed in ASP with an Access backend ... the whole site is very dynamic.

his old (6 years!) laptop just got upgraded to win2000 server, but the damn thing is very slow, poor graphics quality and just in general looks bad. so my client is looking to purchase a new laptop. the one he has his eye on is one from dell that comes with winxp (home). is there a way to be able to surf a local ASP/Access website from winxp - ie. is there web server software that will allow this? OR will i have to reformat and install his win2000 server over the winxp? OR can i dual boot this laptop?

any suggestions?

thanks in advance,
yt

Your client needs to order Windows XP Professional when
placing an order for a new Dell computer if he/she wishes
to use IIS. Windows XP Home Edition does not include
IIS. Dell will preinstall Windows XP Professional for
about $71.00 above the cost of Windows XP Home Edition.

Windows XP Professional includes Internet Information Services (IIS) version 5.1,
which makes it possible for to host your own Web site on the Internet or your intranet.
