What version of IIS does he need?

A friend of mine asked me:his PC's OS is winxp profession,and now he want
that his PC can be act as a web server,he want to know what version of IIS
he need? thanks.

Need? He only has on choice.. IIS 5.1

Install it from Add/Remove Programs --> Add/Remove Windows Components.

In XP Pro there is IIS 5.1 but you can use IIS 6.0 *snap-in console* but you
will only still be running IIS 5.1.
